Our senior staff has over a century of combined experience in water/wastewater treatment systems. We have published numerous technical articles on a variety of water and wastewater treatment topics. We have also trained and presented water management information to water industry professionals across the country.

 STAFF BIOS 

Joel R. Kasper, P.E., President and Principal has thirty years of water and wastewater treatment experience including application of treatment technologies; review and development of chemistry programs and guidelines for boiler feedwater/steam cycles, process water and cooling water; system startup assistance; preparation of water management programs for water reuse and zero discharge; and wastewater discharge permitting assistance for steam electric generating stations and other industrial facilities. He has extensive experience in the treatment and utilization of municipal wastewater as the source of power plant makeup water. His previous professional employment was with Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation. He is a cofounder of the firm and graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. and M.E. in Environmental Engineering.

Leonard J. MacKoul, P.E., Principal has thirty plus years of diversified technical and managerial experience in the planning, permitting, design, construction, start-up, operation, and troubleshooting of water supply and treatment systems for multi-disciplined municipal and industrial projects. He also has extensive client, regulatory agency, contractor, and equipment manufacturer exposure. His previous professional employment was with Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation, Whitman & Howard Incorporated, and Earth Tech. He has an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University as well as a B.S. and M.E. in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Paul L. Parise, Senior Consultant/Manager has thirty-five years of water treatment experience in research, design, and application of treatment technologies and systems for the production of high-purity water for the power industry, semiconductor manufacturers, pharmaceutical producers and the production of drinking water for municipalities. He has an In-depth technical background in membrane-based processes and systems for water purification including detailed experience in pre-treatment, post-treatment, sanitization, and O&M procedures. His previous professional employment was with Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation and Millipore Corporation. He is a cofounder of the firm and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry.
